Getting Ahead In Business At Warp Speed:
Here in the U.S., we like speed. Delayed gratification is not exactly something we're fond of.
And when it comes to success, we want to succeed sooner rather than later.
If you have your own business, you want to generate new clients as quickly as possible. And if you're an employee of a business, you want to advance your career and pay as fast as possible.
Since doing speaking, seminars, and other group events is the fastest way to generate new clients or climb the corporate ladder, then why aren't you getting around to doing it yet? Why is it still sitting on your to-do list?
My experience is that often the things we resist have some kind of "juice" behind it, which usually boils down to some kind of fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of public speaking, fear of failing, and so on. Sometimes it's even fear of success.
If you were to be brutally honest with yourself, what's holding you back? Why aren't you getting ahead at warp speed? What's stopping you from using speaking, seminars or other group events to get ahead?
