How Speaking Skills WILL Make You More Money:
People won't pay you money just because you're a great speaker - BUT, you will make more money if you're a great speaker.
What?-isn't that a contradiction?
No it's not. It's an important distinction. A little discernment will reveal the important and critical distinction:
Very few people will be in demand as a paid speaker, just because they're a great speaker. Impressing people with speaking skills and polished professionalism rarely - very rarely - translates into people lining up and banging on your door to hire you and pay you to speak. This is just a fact: being a great speaker does not guarantee you an income stream. Period.
However, being a great speaker can make you loads of money, and here's the critical distinction: being a great speaker will make you loads of money, if and only if you get up in front of your target market and deliver a compelling call to action. If you get up in front of a group of people who need and want your service or product, and as a speaker you are atrocious, you will lose 99.9% of them - they will not like you, they will not believe you, they will not trust you - they will not do business with you.
Do you see the critical distinction here? Being a great speaker will not bring you income just for being a great speaker. But, being a great speaker will bring you a flood of income if you speak to a hungry target market and deliver a compelling call to action.
