Why Your Voice Can Ruin Your Seminar Results:
First, let's be clear about something: you do NOT need some kind of "golden voice" to be successful doing seminars.
If you hold that belief, or anything even close to that - if you think your voice is "bad" - take that belief and send it off to the sun to burn up forever. Get rid of that belief because it's as useful to you today as yesterday's lunch.
What I'm talking about today is your voice speed: most people deliver seminars speaking at their normal, conversational speed. Now, I happen to talk very fast in normal conversation - drives my Mom nuts. My Mom talks very slooooowwwwly. Drives ME nuts!
Get the picture?-people LISTEN at the speed they normally TALK. If you get up in your seminar and talk slow like my Mom, you'll drive people like me nuts. If you talk fast like me, you'll drive people like my Mom nuts.
The solution? Learn to speak at 3 speeds: slow, medium and fast. This will prevent you from ruining your seminar results by driving people nuts. Alternate your speech speed during your seminar talk so that you keep everyone, every kind of listening speed, happy.
